Russell Derwent Memorial Award
The Russell Derwent Memorial Trophy is an award that represents the love, service and laughs he brought to the Southern NSW Team Sorting community for over 20 years. He helped build the foundation of Team Sorting in the Southern NSW region. Russell was a respected judge for several years and also cattle donor for Taralga Team Sorting. He loved the community of this sport and how it brought friends and families together for a fun weekend. Russell sadly passed away in February 2025, just prior to Taralga Team Sorting - if he were here today, he would continue to be a part of the sport we all love. Russell will be forever missed.
This award will be presented to the competitor with the most cattle sorted at Taralga Team Sorting and be honoured with the Russell Derwent Memorial Award.
